Getting to level 20 is about 1/100 000 of the game. You can get to level 20 in a week easy. There is much much more to the game.

The higher the level you are, the more xp it takes to reach the next.

Yes, leveling will slow down somewhat.
Hitting level 20 is just the beginning of GW - after that, it's finishing the story-lines, getting into elite areas, and most importantly, fleshing out your skills for optimum performance. (or is getting l33t armor & stuff the most important thing?) |

I have gotten characters to level 20 in a day before in the factions campaign. After you get to level 20 you can finish all of the campaigns, unlock all the skills, get cool looking weapons and armor, complete the side quests and bonus missions, go through the elite areas. After that there are always titles. You could also do PvP.

If you avoid gimmick leveling like Rhamia said why it gets faster, than yes it does slow down.
I'm guessing you are in Factions - know that Factions is the fastest leveling campaign, with Nightfall just behind it. It takes much longer to level in Prophecies. And as said, getting to level 20 was made simple *to avoid grind* and is not even a quarter of the game. There is much to do once level 20. |

One of the most attractive things about GW imo. Hope it stays the same for GW2.

Just mentioning something here - leveling is easy but to a point.
You only gain xp if your a few lvls below or higher than a foe and this means if you stay in an area with only lvl 10 foes i think the max you can go is lvl 14 as you hit the +/- xp boundry. thats why when you hit around lvl 10 ( and no eotn access ) it starts to take a bit longer to lvl up - even more so in some places. A prime example of this can be compared with a pvp chr - i have a 9 month old sin who has around 800+ skill pints and around 8 mill xp - my wifes pvp chr tho lvl 20 and almost 2 yrs old and r11 luxon title has a fraction of my skill points or xp. In most PvP your fighting human players of same lvl so very little xp - now go pve and hm and wham - constant xp gain and lvls. When my last chr hit lvl 20 ( nf chr doing speed lvling - not power lvling ) it was made into a farming chr as thats what they were designed for. Lvl 20 in gw may seem an achievement the first time but 2 yrs on its a natural thing be it 8hrs to get or 3 or 4 days.If you know how to do it fast its easy - same as survivor that can be got within say 10 - 12hrs easily ( check farming threads as proof is given there if needed ) . As talisk3 said - theres a lot more to gw than gettin lvl 20 it just depends on what you want to do. |
